Everyone is welcome to come check out the nuclear engineering program and take a tour of our facility. If you would like to do some research using our nuclear reactor and/or facilities, you can contact our advisor, Dr. Melinda Krahenbuhl. Visitors are always welcome.
If you would like to become a member of the University of Utah's Student Section of the American Nuclear Society, then you can go online here to their website. Currently the cost of membership for a year is only $20. Your membership also gets you a subscription to the Nuclear News, a magazine that helps keep you up to date on the current affairs of Nuclear Power and Engineering. You also get discounts on purchasing Nuclear Engineering Textbooks and have opportunities to attend and present your research at the American Nuclear Society conferences at discounted rates.
You need to be a nuclear engineering graduate student to be in charge of the Graduate Student Advisory Committee for the Nuclear Engineering Program. However, all input is important and everyone is welcome to voice their concerns and desires involving Nuclear Science and Engineering. Currently we do not have an undergraduate Nuclear Engineering program, or student advisory committee for undergraduate students in Nuclear Engineering, but would like to start them up once we have sufficient student interest and involvement.
If you like Nuclear, then come on over and join us!
